A Faster Horse: The Ford Mustang Documentary

November 10, 2015

There’s a noisy group of obsessed motor heads at milk* who can’t wait to see a “A Faster Horse,” the new documentary about the legendary Ford Mustang. Imagine the mood at Ford in 1964. The company was climbing out from under their most spectacular failure, the Edsel, when visionary Lee Iacocca sought to turn Ford around with arguably their most spectacular success. The mantra was fast, fun and affordable and the Mustang delivered. It was an instant hit and it created a new class of cars, the “Pony Car” class. It paved the way for the Camaro, the Firebird and many more. A Faster Horse doesn’t just tell the Mustang’s history, it introduces us to today’s visionaries. If you can take or leave cars, you may find this film a snooze, but if you’re among the obsessed, get revved up!
