Best Bars to Escape NYC’s Summer Heat

June 24, 2016

New York City is a year-round vacation destination. However, the lucky ones who visit the Big Apple during the summer months experience the inescapable summer heat that blankets the city. Luckily, the city is equipped with a variety of Rooftop Restaurants solely there for those needing to take a break from the heat. Conde Nast Traveler recently posted a quick article guide listing the 10 best rooftop bars to visit this summer. Milk* wanted to share some of our favorites! Salon de ning at The Peninsula New York is an evergreen rooftop that channels ‘Hamptons’ chic’. Patrons overlook the shops of Fifth Avenue. The “Ning Sling” is the drink to try; a gin-based passion fruit mojito topped with lychees. PH-D Terrance at Dream Midtown is another favorite. It is one of the city’s most decorated and personal gems. The terrace shares views of Times Square, the Time Warner building, and Broadway, but the real buzz surrounds the “Pomegranate Rickey”; a fruity vodka, ginger beer, pomegranate liquor mix with lime. It’s a PH-D Terrance must! At Roof at Park South tourists will enjoy unpretentious fun, an outgoing crowd, a creative vibe, views of the Chrysler Building, and sprit-forward cocktails. You are sure to find a good rooftop bar around every NYC corner, but if you’re in the neighborhood of these city treasures be sure to check them out!
