Canada builds first-ever electronic gaming stadium.

Canada has welcomed a new stadium specially designed for esports, the state of the art arena is set to be completed in 2019 and upon completion will be the first ever e-gaming stadium ever to be built internationally. But what exactly are esports and why are people investing stadiums in them?

Esports are multiplayer videos games that are played competitively for spectators by professional gamers. Essentially, the arena will hold tournaments, major events, and other happenings in the esports world. The actual design of the stadium is also quite impressive with room.

The space is builtfor 250 spectators, 40 gaming setups, an area where spectators can try their hand at a variety of video games, and enough food and beverage stations to keep everyone happy and full for the duration of the numerous events. “We have so much in store for everyone and we are excited to continue making announcements leading up to launch,” said Myesports Ventures Dan Cybak of his feelings on the arena.

“This is going to change the landscape of esports in Vancouver.” What makes this construction project so special is the group of people it brings together. Traditionally, playing video games is a solitary activity, most often associated with a teenage boy locked in his room playing for hours screaming into a headset without any social contact.

But the building of this one of a kind gaming stadium will create a place where gamers can meet and interact with each other and more importantly see the professionals who they admire so much play in real time! Myesports Ventures wants to take this collaboration to the next level by opportunities for players to work with professionals who will coach them to improve their skills. The hope is that more stadiums like this will open up giving people more access to esports than ever before.
