For most people, owning a Porsche 911 GT3 will only ever be a fantasy. However, LEGO, the “world’s most powerful brand”, conceptualized The Lego 911 GT3 RS, making the elite vehicle more affordable. At $299.99, the new Lego kit allows you to display the massive plastic car model on any surface top. The Lego Group began manufacturing a line of plastic construction toys in 1949 in Billund, Denmark and quickly became a global brand. Lego consists of various pieces that can be assembled and connected in multiple ways to essentially construct objects, vehicles, buildings, and robots. The Lego 911 GT3 RS is packaged in a large box with about 2,704 pieces and a highly detailed instruction manual. Also, with this purchase, Lego provides a special collector’s book chronicling the rise of Lego and Porsche GT cars. According to a press release written on www.autoblog.com, “the model features detailed, orange bodywork, red suspension springs, detailed headlights, taillights, brake calipers, and rims with low-profile tires”. Inside the model, the cockpit features a detailed dashboard, steering wheel with gearshift paddles, racing seats, and a specialized glove compartment with a unique serial number. The Lego 911 GT3 RS includes functioning vehicle doors, storage compartment, and an opening rear with 6 detailed flat moving pistons. It appears Lego diligently worked at making this 1:8 scale model a rewarding and lifelike building experience. When all said and done, the model will measure about 22 inches long and nearly 10 inches wide. Pick up your Porsche June 1st!
