George Lucas After Star Wars.

Almost everyone is talking about Star Wars, but Francis Ford Coppola is talking about George Lucas, the man Disney left out of their latest blockbuster. We didn’t know this, but fresh out of film school, Lucas and Coppola formed their own production company. Lucas’s first movie was a commercial flop, so with Coppola’s urging, Lucas wrote and directed American Graffiti — I mean, who’s second movie gets nominated for best picture? From then, Lucas when on to shoot the movies he always wanted to make. Taking the kinds of risks Coppola says are necessary to propel movie making forward. According to Coppola, Hollywood is more and more looking to put big movies into the hands of fledgling directors with big dreams. As for Lucas, after selling Lucas Films for more than $4 billion, let’s hope he takes some huge risks, I mean according to cinemablend.com, Lucas can do just about anything he damn well pleases.
