Internet Crowd-Sourced TV? Pretty Cool.

January 22, 2014

We here at milk* were pretty excited to see the debut of the new “internet sourced” TV show, HitRECord. The half-hour episodes encompass a myriad of elements including live and recorded music (Joseph Gordon-Levitt himself sings, dances, and plays drums, piano, and guitar on the show), live action and animated video clips — many contributed by collaborators solicited through the HitRECord.org creative community founded by the Gordon-Levitt brothers. The result? We think, a cool new kind of television variety show featuring short films, live performances, music, animation, conversation, and of course, more! Each episode will have a different theme and the first episode is, appropriately enough, entitled “The Number 1”. We thought it was pretty cool and are looking forward to seeing… well, MORE.
