Lin-Manuel Miranda’s Final ‘Hamilton’ Bow

July 22, 2016

We are an agency that loves the arts! The widely successful Broadway show ‘Hamilton’ and its star and mastermind, Lin-Manuel Miranda (who quite honestly made Broadway cool again) took his final bow on July 9th. Further proving his modest and humble reputation, Miranda shared his final bows with other cast members and distracted the spotlight away from himself. The curtain call only lasted about three minutes, despite zealous applause throughout the night’s show. After the final bow, hundred and hundreds of fans anxiously waited and cheered for Miranda (nonetheless in the pouring rain) to appear from the stage door at the Richard Rodgers Theater. Miranda instead chose to emerge on the theater marquee’s balcony holding an umbrella and waving to fans. Since its 2015 Broadway premiere, ‘Hamilton’ (the bio-musical about Alexander Hamilton) has received fervent critical acclaim and astounding box office sales. ‘Hamilton’ has been nominated for record-setting awards and receiving glowing accolades unlike any in memory. Why? ‘Hamilton’ is a theatrical rarity. A New York Times reviewer once wrote that, “the songs in ‘Hamilton’ could be preformed more or less as they are by Drake or Beyonce or Kanye”. But as they say on Broadway, the show must go on.
