“Publishing literary fiction, non-fiction and poetry – and liking it,” Melville House shows that there’s still plenty of room for the little guy. The company is opening a new space in DUMBO (very trendy) and is hot with the literature crowd. Melville, founded by Dennis Loy Johnson and Valerie Merians, neither of who had prior publishing experience, is a feel-good story worthy of its own novel. Hmmm…wonder who’d publish it. Check it out.
