MICROSOFT BUYS NOKIA MOBILE

MicroPhone? A computer company breaking into the mobile phone business? That sounds familiar. Well, if you’re looking at trends in computers vs. mobile phone sales, it’s no wonder Microsoft purchased Nokia’s mobile phone business last week for 5.4 billion Euros. According to global projections the purchase of computers has more or less leveled off, while the explosion of mobile and in particular smart-phones continues to explode. Microsoft seems to view the expansion into mobile as an essential for securing success in the future, something we couldn’t agree more with. As for Nokia, the Finnish company will now focus on networks, mapping services and technology development and licenses. Learn More.
