Now that’s Italian!

September 17, 2013

September 12 – 22 marks the 87th Feast of San Gennaro in Manhattan’s Little Italy. We’re total suckers for this festival ‘cause who can say no to those fresh sugarcoated zeppoles? Yum. San Gennaro is the Patron Saint of Naples, and though the festival’s origins are religious, everyone is welcome to join in on the fun. Over a million revelers will dine on authentic Italian cuisine, listen to all kinds of Italian music and watch the parades and processions. Checkout the world-famous cannoli eating contest, it’s a spectacle not to be missed. The feast will run along six colorfully decorated blocks of Mulberry Street in Manhattan, or head up town to the Fordham/Belmont section of the Bronx.
