Tap and Go

September 20, 2006

In an ever faster world, don’t you just hate the bottlenecks at the subway turnstiles? The panic that your train is about to pull away is only heightened by the delay.  You think to yourself, “They must be tourists, they haven’t yet mastered the cadence and pace of turnstile swiftness that only a practiced subway rider understands.”  Fumble looking for your metrocard AT the turnstile, and you’ve just earned yourself a $2.00 Six Train to Hell.

Anyway, for those of us who have these fears, Fear No More!  Mastercard is in public trials for the “touch and go” metrocard.  Simply tap, and be on your way, with charges going straight to your card.
