Angelo’s Bachelor Party was supposed to be an 80s-themed snowboarding trip at Okemo Mountain in Vermont with his closest friends. But after a social media typo went viral, a new friend joined along.
The hashtag #AngelosBachelorParty was buzzing this past weekend after an invite for Angelo’s bachelor party was accidentally emailed to the wrong Will Novak. The email was intended to be sent to Bill Novak of Brooklyn, NY, one of Angelo’s best friends. Will Novak of Phoenix, Arizona, got the email invite, instead.
Will decided to have some fun with it and responded back asking if he could join in on the bachelor party weekend – and Angelo was down for the fun!
Will decided to document the entire experience, starting with his creation of his GoFundMe page which had a goal of $750 for his flight and rental car. He ended up raising over $4,000 dollars. Needless to say, #AngelosBachelorParty was a go.
As the event went viral, the airline and rental car services decided to participate as well – he was upgraded to first class and was given a Maserati SUV for his rental car. Even Okemo mountain was in on it, holding an Instagram giveaway for users who took a photo with Will.
The Bachelor Party was undoubtedly a success – for Will, Bill, Angelo, and all the brands who jumped on board.
