Snapchat has long been known for its fun and unique filter abilities, and it perhaps made its biggest splash yet a couple of weeks ago. Users had a blast using the new gender-swapping filter, which makes female faces look more male and vice versa.
The platform had recently created a similar baby-face filter, which also
generated a lot of buzz. Not only have users enjoyed these on the Snapchat
platform itself, but they’ve also been sharing their photos to their other
social accounts.
There has been a little bit of controversy surrounding the gender-swap feature, as some have pointed out that it enforces harmful gender norms. But for the most part, it has successfully created positive attention towards the platform, with tons of users and even major brands taking part in the fun.
Years after its creation, Snapchat is still evolving and continuing to thrive in the ever-changing digital space.
