Vacation Disconnect

Wondering what tech to pack on your spring breakaway? When we here at Milk* hit the road, we take it all. We need our Google Maps to get to the airport and park. We need our eReaders and tablets to get through the flight. And once we arrive, how could we possibly relax without checking in at home and sharing shots of the pool and our meals on Facebook? Guess we’re not alone. According to a February 2013 survey in Megapost, 77% of travelers took their smartphones on vacation with them. 75% checked emails, and 39% posted photos/checked in with social media.  68% used their digital devices to get directions and 45% used them to find restaurants. The vast majority of us are using technology to maximize our vacations in ways never before possible. Besides, how else could we check the weather? By looking out the window?
