Adidas Makes Sneakers From Ocean Waste

May 10, 2016

As popularity in wearable devices rises, countless vendors are working on creating the latest and greatest wearable product to benefit contemporary trends.  We love how Adidas is breaks away from technological trends norm to craft a new kind of wearable product.  Using 3D-printing, Adidas has evolved their methods of athletic shoe production by creating sneakers made from ocean waste.  In efforts to help save one of the most precious resources we have on our planet, Adidas has created the world first sneaker entirely of yarns and filaments reclaimed and recycled from ocean waste and illegal deep-sea fishing nets.  An innovative footwear concept using 3D-printed ocean plastic shoe midsole, to demonstrate how the industry can re-think design and contribute to stop ocean plastic pollution.  Validating another reason why we love Adidas!
