The latest movie headed for production that drafts off its 1970’s predecessor is Alien. Yep. After ten superbly crafted terrifying movies here comes another one. The Alien/Predator franchise is one of the most successful in movie history with earnings to date hovering around $1.4 billion. Fresh from his Golden Globe nominated success, The Martian, Ridley Scott is eager to jump back into the director’s chair and give us some creepy space-monster excellence. Alien: Covenant is a sequel to his Alien Prequel Prometheus. Sound confusing? Here’s a little refresher and a hint at the film’s synopsis. Alien: Covenant is scheduled to hit theaters in October 2017.
