It’s a new year, and Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have decided to try mixing up their life. The two recently announced they will start working to become financially independent. Stepping away as senior royals has everyone talking.
At the end of 2019, the couple trademarked the “Sussex Royal” brand which could potentially make them a high fortune. But how exactly? There are a few areas for potential expansion of the brand. People guess the two may create deals in the TV/film production business, a book deal, or even public speaking or fashion.
However, one problem that Meghan and Prince Harry may run into is being accused of exploiting their royal brand, considering there is an established rule that if you are a working royal, you don’t do paid work. The two could renounce their titles, but thus far have not indicated this is something they want to do.
The couple plans to split their time between the UK and North America, but some question if this will lead to a permanent leave from Europe.
