Yet Another iPhone

October 1, 2018

Apple rolls out a new series of iPhones this fall that are both pricey and powerful.

The fall is synonymous with all kinds of autumnal inspired things but one steadfast event that usually happens as summer fades – new iPhones.  The colder temperatures bring hot new advancements on the world’s most popular smartphone.

This year, the phones are both extremely impressive and extremely expensive. Apple is churning out an iPhone XS and XS Max and has decided to discontinue (albeit, quietly) their 6S, SE, and iPhone X models. As CNN Money says, “The 5.8-inch iPhone XS, due in stores on Friday, starts at $999. Its 6.5-inch big sister, the iPhone XS Max, which launches on the same day, costs $100 more. Want the fully souped-up Max, with 512 GB of storage? That’ll cost you $1,449. The “affordable” iPhone XR ($749) ships next month.”

This new iPhone not only brings a big price tag but a big in size. Apple is feeding in to the mentality that bigger is better. The Atlantic says, “Instead, Apple is making a statement about how you ought to use your smartphone. Not casually, but wholly. With your entire face and body involved. Both hands gripped fast to the device, held close, so the external world can recede and the smartphone’s can take its place.”

The new advancement of the iPhones is working it’s way to replacing all other technologies in our life. Are these changes enough to make you want upgrade?
